Marchés Adonis digital ecosystem and food retail communication by CC&Co

Marchés Adonis | Food retail digital ecosystem

Building a stronger digital ecosystem for a growing grocery chain

Marchés Adonis had a retail experience richer than its digital expression. CC&Co built the website, interactive flyer and social presence that organized that abundance into an online ecosystem customers could actually use.

CC&Co delivered the website, interactive flyer, social media and digital strategy that supported Marchés Adonis's digital maturity ahead of its acquisition era.

Metro took a majority stake in 2011 and full ownership in 2017. The work supported digital maturity before that era; it makes no claim on the transaction itself.

The challenge

A store richer than its website

Adonis stores overflow: fresh counters, prepared foods, bakery, spices, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern products, weekly specials, family shopping rituals. Online, all of it collapsed into a flat grocery listing. The digital presence had to carry that market feeling while serving customers who arrive with practical needs and no patience: hours, locations, this week's specials, what's fresh.

The website, interactive flyer and social media had to work as one system, and the brand needed that maturity in place as the company entered a major acquisition phase.

The strategic insight

The flyer is a habit, so treat it as a system

Grocery customers already check specials, plan meals and time their visits around the flyer. Once that behaviour moves online, the flyer stops being a PDF and becomes the spine of the digital customer journey. CC&Co built the ecosystem around that insight: the interactive flyer connected to the website, the website organized the abundance, and social media carried the weekly rhythm between visits.

Food retail is practical and emotional at the same time. The system had to deliver value and speed while keeping the cultural richness that made Adonis worth choosing over a standard supermarket.

What we created

Website

A digital home that organizes the store universe: locations, hours, food categories, promotions and product presentation structured for quick answers without erasing the market character.

Interactive flyer

A digital promotion system built on real grocery behaviour, letting customers browse specials, plan the week and connect offers to store information in one flow.

Social media and retail communication

Content direction and campaign assets that carried products, freshness and cultural food cues into the feeds where customers already were, on the same weekly rhythm as the promotions.

Impact

Adonis's brand, products and promotions became easier to discover, follow and use online. The digital ecosystem matched the maturity of the retail operation and gave the chain a stronger public face through its growth years, including the period around Metro's investment and eventual full acquisition.

The broader lesson holds for any strong physical retailer: digital tools should reflect the strength of the store. When the flyer, website and social presence run as one system, customers plan with the brand instead of just visiting it.

Frequently asked questions

1.What did CC&Co do for Marchés Adonis?

Website, interactive flyer, social media, digital strategy and retail communication, built as one connected ecosystem rather than separate deliverables.

2.What is an interactive flyer?

A digital promotion system built on the grocery flyer habit: customers browse weekly specials, plan meals and connect offers to store information online instead of leafing through a PDF.

3.Why is the Metro acquisition mentioned?

As context. The work supported the chain's digital maturity and public presence in the years before Metro's majority stake (2011) and full acquisition (2017). The case study claims no role in the transaction.

4.Why does this project matter for retailers?

It shows how a strong physical business gets a digital layer that matches its strength: one system across web, promotions and social that customers use to plan, not just to look up hours.
