Laboratoires Lehning | Canadian market entry
Building a Canadian communication system for a French natural health products brand
Laboratoires Lehning arrived with a long European history in natural health products. CC&Co built the Canadian layer: strategy, packaging, website, subway and TV advertising, and the bilingual retail communication that made the brand legible in a new market.
CC&Co delivered strategy, packaging, website, advertising and retail communication for Lehning's Canadian presence, in a category where precision is part of the creative work.

Challenge
The challenge
A category that punishes vagueness
Health products communicate under constraints most categories never face: regulatory sensitivity, consumer skepticism and a hard requirement for clarity. Visual appeal alone sells nothing here. Consumers need to understand what the product is, how the range is organized and why the company deserves trust, without the brand overreaching on claims.
The Canadian market added the second layer. European recognition does not transfer on arrival. Packaging, advertising, website and retail communication all had to work together to make Lehning legible to consumers, retailers and media in a market that owed the brand nothing.

Insight
The strategic insight
The product has to explain itself before it can sell
In natural health, confusion is expensive. Unclear packaging makes the consumer hesitate at the shelf. Overreaching advertising burns trust. A website without structure makes the product line harder to navigate than the competitor's. The strategy was one communication system doing three jobs at once: recognition, education and credibility.
Adaptation meant cultural work, not mechanical translation. The brand had to keep its French heritage, since that heritage is part of the credibility, while becoming understandable in bilingual Canadian retail.
Deliverables
What we created

Packaging and retail communication
Packaging that organizes the product universe at the shelf, plus point-of-sale material that helps the range read clearly where the buying decision happens.

Website
A structured digital presence for product education: what the products are, how the range fits together, where to find them.

Advertising
Subway and TV campaign support that built public visibility with the restraint the category demands: direct messages, careful claims, no empty excitement.

Product messaging and production
Bilingual messaging architecture and production-ready assets across print, digital and campaign material.
Impact
Impact
Lehning's Canadian presence gained a coherent communication system across packaging, web, advertising and retail. The product universe became easier to understand, and the brand entered the market with materials built for trust rather than noise.
The case proves CC&Co's ability to work where compliance-sensitive communication and creative direction have to coexist. Brand adaptation for a new market is a system problem: the package, the ad, the shelf, the website and the words either reinforce each other or the launch leaks credibility at every touchpoint.
